We are growing and seeking a reliable Life Safety Technician to join our team.
About the Role
The Life Safety Technician will primarily assist our Life Safety Specialist with fire stop activities at healthcare facilities. In addition, the technician will support other fire protection and safety services as needed, such as fire damper inspections, extinguisher checks, and emergency lighting inspections. This is a hands-on role that requires adaptability and a commitment to quality and compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with fire stop installation, maintenance and repair in healthcare and other facilities
- Support life safety inspections and testing, including fire dampers, fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lighting
- Work in compliance with NFPA codes, UL listings and other life safety regulations
- Accurately document work performed and communicate findings with the team
- Travel to customer sites, working both independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times
- Document work accurately and follow safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with clients and teammates
- Assist with other fire protection and safety services as needed
Work Environment
- Work performed primarily in healthcare and assisted living facilities
- Requires standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50lbs

What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Previous experience in life safety, fire protection, construction or related trade preferred
- Knowledge of UL systems and NFPA regulations is a strong plus
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, drawings or specifications
- Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
